Just figured out my grout lines looked crooked because of how I was holding the float, not the tile
I kept blaming the tile saw for chipped edges on my bathroom floor in Nob Hill, but a guy at the tile shop on Central asked to see me spread thinset and said I was tilting the float 20 degrees instead of keeping it flat. Redid 30 square feet and the joints finally line up. Anyone else have a tool technique they had to unlearn after years of doing it wrong?
