Kept patching my 1970s drywall with spackle until a guy at the Lumber yard on Osuna set me straight
For years I filled every crack in my hallway with spackle and it kept coming back within a month. Now I dig out the loose stuff, tape the seam, and use setting compound, and the 6 inch crack near the light switch has held for 8 months. Wish someone had told me this before I redid that same spot 4 times, what do you all use on old drywall seams?
