Swapped vinyl plank for tile in my bathroom and wish I did it sooner

I was dead set on luxury vinyl plank for the master bath reno because everyone says it's waterproof and easy. But after talking to the guys at Duke City Tile on 4th Street, they convinced me to try large format porcelain tile instead. The way it holds up to direct sun and doesn't warp near the shower drain just makes way more sense for our climate. Has anyone else made the switch from LVP to tile in their bathroom and regretted it or loved it?

That hollow echo sound is just like cheap stuff everywhere in life, it never stays solid.

Went from LVP to tile in my own master bath last year and it was the best decision. The vinyl looked great at first but started showing little dents and scratches around the vanity within six months. Tile feels solid and the grout lines actually make cleaning easier with a good sealer. Dont miss the hollow echo sound the LVP had when you dropped something on it either.
