Wrote off peel and stick tile for my Rio Rancho bathroom until my neighbor showed me his floor
I always figured peel and stick tile was flimsy stuff that would lift up in a wet room, so I had budgeted about $900 for real tile in my hall bath. My neighbor Frank redid his rental bathroom off Southern with groutable vinyl peel and stick and it's held up fine through 2 tenants. What convinced me was him saying to lay it over a clean, level floor and press each tile with a roller instead of just my hands, because that's where most people mess up. I did my 40 square foot floor for $120 and it's been solid for 3 months now. Has anyone used this stuff in a shower surround, or is that pushing it?
