Can we talk about how I used to just throw leftovers in any container?
Honestly, back in my twenties I'd just toss spaghetti in a takeout tub and call it good, but now I'm weirdly picky about glass containers with locking lids after finding mold in a cracked plastic one last week at 2 AM. When did I become the person who organizes the fridge by date and size of the container? How did you all get stuck in this rabbit hole of late-night container comparisons?

My aunt had this giant 5 gallon glass pickle jar that she used for everything, leftover soup, rice, even her homemade kombucha. I accidentally dropped one of those cheap plastic meal prep containers last month and it shattered into a million pieces, but not like glass shattering, just brittle plastic shrapnel everywhere. Now I'm slowly replacing all my storage with glass jars from pasta sauce and pickles, feels like I'm running a weird little library of food. The worst part is the lids though, I swear I have like 15 mismatched lids and none of them fit right so I end up using saran wrap half the time.
