Found a half-eaten sandwich in my laptop bag at 2 AM and had to make a choice
Last Tuesday I was up way too late working on a project and reached into my bag for my charger. Instead, I pulled out a Subway meatball sub I forgot about from Monday. It was still in the wrapper but the smell hit me like a wall. Did I toss it or take a chance and eat it since it was only 24 hours old? I'm still debating if hunger wins over food safety at 2 in the morning. What's the longest you've kept something questionable around?

Yeah I found last week's Chipotle bowl behind my monitor once and just poked at it with a fork.

Found a half-eaten burrito next to my keyboard once and spent a solid minute deciding if it was still edible. That's the thing about working from home - everything becomes a time capsule. There's always that one snack wrapper or coffee mug that becomes part of the desk decoration until you finally snap and clean. It's like we all live in some slow motion version of hoarders where we just keep adding layers to our workspace. The worst is when you accidentally knock something over and uncover three different levels of snacking from the past week.
