My neighbor's 3 AM garage talk about kitchen knives hit different
Last Tuesday I couldn't sleep and found my neighbor out in his garage sharpening an old chef's knife at 3 AM. He said I've been treating my knives like shovels, and he showed me how he hones them after every single use with a $12 steel rod. Has anyone else had a random late-night chat that made you totally rethink a daily habit you never questioned?

The $12 steel rod changed my whole kitchen game too, I got one after watching my buddy's dad fix up my dull knives in like five minutes. I used to just scrape everything on the cutting board and wonder why my wrist hurt, but now I do three quick passes on the rod before I even wash the knife. Honestly, it feels like a tiny ritual now, makes me actually want to cook instead of dreading the sawing.
