Unpopular opinion: my $40 alarm clock fixed my sleep better than any app ever did
Honestly everyone told me to get a sleep tracker app and I tried three of them, but they just gave me more reasons to stare at my phone before bed. Last fall I spent $40 on a basic plug-in alarm clock with a red display and started leaving my phone charging in the kitchen at night. The first week was rough, but by day 10 I was falling asleep around 11 instead of 1am, mostly because I wasn't scrolling in bed anymore. Ngl it feels dumb that a $40 clock did what a year of apps couldn't, but here I am. Has anyone else gone back to a dumb alarm clock and actually stuck with it?
