Cold shower vs. hot tea after a brutal shift, my money is on one
After a 12 hour shift in a noisy kitchen, I used to swear by a scalding shower to rinse off the day. Last month I tried the opposite, a 2 minute cold blast, and then a mug of peppermint tea, and the tension in my shoulders actually dropped. Anyone else find their nervous system responds better to the shock than the warmth, or is my brain just wired wrong?
