Half marathon training or pottery class, picked wrong for my evenings
After a brutal stretch at work I had to choose between signing up for a 6 week half marathon plan or a Thursday night pottery class at the community center downtown. I went with the running because I thought the structure would help, but honestly by day three I was dreading it and my knees felt shot from sitting at a desk all day. The pottery class had a waitlist and I gave up my spot, and now I keep seeing their posts on Instagram with people making mugs and it looks way more relaxing. Maybe it's just me but pushing mileage after a 9 hour shift felt like adding a second job, not unwinding. Has anyone else bailed on a fitness goal for a craft hobby and actually felt better about it?
