My neighbor's 5 minute ritual made me question my 2 hour wind down
Last Tuesday I complained to my neighbor Rick about how I need a full two hours of TV, snacks, and scrolling just to feel human again after work. He shrugged and said he sits on his porch for 5 minutes, watches the cars go by, and that's it. I laughed at first. But then I tried it the next day. Just sitting, no phone, watching the street. It was weird how calm I felt after. Now I'm wondering if I've been overcomplicating this whole unwinding thing. Has anyone else found that a really short routine works better than a long one? Or is my neighbor just built different?
