Swapped happy hour for a 6pm pottery class, best choice I made this month

Last Tuesday I had to choose between joining my crew at the usual bar in Portland or trying a beginner pottery session that cost $28. I picked the clay and honestly, getting my hands messy for two hours completely reset my brain after a brutal spreadsheet day. The instructor said I made a lopsided bowl but I didn't care, it was the first time all week I wasn't thinking about work. Has anyone else traded a drink for a hobby class and actually felt better the next morning?
