Update: dropped $130 on a "calming" salt cave session in Reno and I'm still mad about it
Forty five minutes of sitting in a cold room that smelled like a wet basement while a recording of whale noises played, and I could have gotten the same relaxed feeling from a $4 bath bomb and a closed bathroom door, so has anyone found an actual cheap way to chill out after work that does not involve paying for fake rocks?
Ugh I feel you on this so hard. I did one of those "float tank" things last year for like $80 and spent the whole time worried I was gonna fall asleep and drown lol. What actually works for me is a long walk around my neighborhood right when I get home, like no phone, just wandering for 30 minutes. Sounds boring but my brain kinda untangles itself and it's free. Other thing is laying on my floor with my legs up on the couch for 10 minutes, weirdly helps after sitting at a desk all day. Also a hot shower with the lights off and a candle going feels way better than any fancy spa room I've paid for.
