Pour-over station meltdown during my 3pm shift break
My scale decided to die right as I was blooming the beans, so I just winged the ratio and ended up with a cup that tasted like burnt tire shop, not joking. Three patients asked what that smell was coming from the break room, has anyone else had a gadget fail at the worst possible moment?

Funny how the universe always picks the exact worst moment for gear to crap out, right? It's like the machines can smell when you're already stressed or running late. Happens with my phone every time I need directions to a new gym, or my car when I'm already behind schedule. Maybe it's just me, but there's some kind of rule that tech fails on a 10x scale the second you actually depend on it. Honestly, burnt tire shop coffee still beats the stuff in the hospital cafeteria, so you might've accidentally upgraded. Hope your next break comes with a fully charged scale and a boring, normal cup.
