Switched my 3pm cup to a darker roast and now I actually sleep
I always went with a light or medium roast for my afternoon cup, but last week a barista at the shop near my office in Sacramento talked me into a dark roast instead. I figured it would keep me up worse, but it turns out the darker bean has less caffeine and I fell asleep by 11pm for five nights straight. Before that I was lying awake till 1am most nights, blaming stress. Same amount of coffee, same 3pm time, totally different result. Has anyone else found that the roast level matters more than the time you drink it?
