TIL a 3 minute cold brew hack in my garage last Tuesday saved my 2pm crash
I started steeping 4 ounces of coarse ground beans in a mason jar of cold water overnight and now I just pour it over ice at 2:15pm instead of dragging myself to the cafe, so what's your lazy afternoon brew setup?
The "drag myself to the cafe" part got me because I always figured cold brew was one of those things you pay too much for and can't pull off at home. Then my wife bought a cheap grinder and we tried the mason jar thing and I had to eat my words, it really is that easy. I use about 4 ounces too but I let mine sit closer to 18 hours, then strain it through a fine mesh sieve lined with a coffee filter. The 2pm slump is real and this beats the drive.
