Hot take: the air fryer at my aunt's potluck changed how I see frozen apps
Stopped by my aunt's place in Arlington last Saturday for a family thing and she had these frozen spring rolls that tasted way better than they should. She told me she tossed them in the air fryer at 400 degrees for exactly 8 minutes instead of baking them. There were like 40 of them on the tray and every single one came out crispy on the outside without being greasy. I always thought frozen apps were just something you put in the oven and deal with, but now I'm rethinking my whole snack game at home. Has anyone else tried a simple swap like that with basic frozen stuff?

Tried it with some frozen mozzarella sticks last week and honestly they came out way better than I expected. I did 375 for about six minutes and they were golden brown without any of that soggy bottom you get from the oven. The trick is to not overcrowd the basket like I did with the first batch because they need space for the air to circulate. Ngl now I'm eyeing every frozen aisle item wondering how it would do in the air fryer.

Oh man, I feel your pain literally. Nothing like a good burn to remind you just how hot those things get!

...so I tried doing that with frozen egg rolls last night and they came out so crispy I burned the roof of my mouth. I stuck them in for 9 minutes at 380 and checked on them way too late. Still ate four of them though because they were way better than any oven batch I've made.
