I used to hate frozen veggies in the air fryer but not anymore
For the longest time I thought frozen broccoli came out soggy and gross in my air fryer. Then my neighbor showed me her trick last week: toss them in a little oil and garlic powder first, then cook at 400 for 8 minutes shaking halfway. Total game changer! They came out crispy on the edges and not mushy at all. Has anyone found a veggie that just doesn't work no matter what you try?

@torres.grant nailed it with the temp and time recommendation. 400 for 8 minutes is pretty much the sweet spot for most frozen veggies, but green beans are tricky because they're thin and dry out fast. I'd try dropping the temp to 375 and checking them at 5 or 6 minutes next time. Maybe toss them with a tiny bit more oil to help keep some moisture in there.

Honestly, 400 for 8 minutes turned my frozen broccoli from sad wet cardboard into something I'd actually serve to guests. But ngl, that green bean story got me. I tried some frozen asparagus in there once and it came out looking like a bag of burnt pine needles my cat coughed up. Tbh the only veggie I've found that defeats the air fryer every time is those frozen spinach blocks. No amount of oil or garlic powder saves that hot leafy mess. Maybe I should just stick to broccoli and cauliflower like everyone else and admit defeat on the rest of the produce aisle.

That garlic powder trick works on cauliflower too, same temp and time. My wife tried doing green beans once and they turned into little green jerky strips. Too hot and too long I guess. We stick to broccoli and cauliflower now, they handle the high heat way better.
