My $30 silicone air fryer basket insert turned my soggy fries into perfect crispy ones.

I was about to give up on making decent fries until this little tray let the air flow under them properly, so has anyone found a good brand for these or are they all basically the same?

Oh man, that's the key right there. I grabbed a cheap one off Amazon and it did the same thing. They're pretty much all the same silicone rack.

But are you sure it's the rack and not just your fry technique? The_lee might have gotten lucky, but my cheap one just made a mess and didn't crisp anything.

Maybe the_lee just has magic hands. My cheap rack worked fine, but you really have to shake off the extra oil first. Sounds like a technique thing to me.
