My air fryer turned a frozen pizza into a frisbee last Saturday
Okay so last Saturday I got home from a roofing job in Allentown, starving, and thought I'd be smart. I shoved a frozen personal pizza in my air fryer at 400 degrees without checking if it fit under the heating element. Big mistake. The cheese melted and slid right off the crust, and the whole thing curled up into this thick disc that bounced off the basket when I pulled it out. It literally looked like a frisbee, and my dog caught it mid-air and ran off with it. I had to chase her around the yard for 5 minutes to get a greasy pepperoni disc back. Has anyone else had a frozen pizza go full UFO mode in their air fryer, or do I just need a bigger model?

Man, that dog catch is the best part of this whole mess, honestly. I had a similar thing happen with a calzone once, it ballooned up like a football and I nearly burned my hand trying to pop it before it exploded cheese all over my counter. The curl is real, those pizzas just don't have the weight to stay flat under the fan, they turn into a taco shell if you're lucky. Glad your pup got a snack out of it, but maybe next time just nuke it for a couple minutes first to soften the middle before you air fry it.
