My sister-in-law told me to put a whole frozen pizza directly on the rack, no basket, and it actually worked.

My buddy Dave tried that last week on a total dare. He was so sure it would end in a cheese-covered oven fire. Instead, the crust got super crispy on the bottom, way better than when he uses a pan. He said it was like a proper pizza place pie. Now he won't make them any other way.

Totally believe it! The direct heat from the oven rack makes all the difference. It gets that perfect crunch you just can't get from a pan. Dave's a convert for life now.
