My sister's 3 a.m. air fryer fries made me trash my deep fryer
She threw frozen crinkle cuts in with a splash of oil at 400 for 12 minutes and they came out crunchier than my $40 FryDaddy ever did, so I gave the old unit to Goodwill this week, but has anyone gotten that same crisp on steak fries without the extra shake step?

Gotta say, this feels like a weird hill to die on. You tossed a $40 gadget for some frozen fries, and now you're stressing about shake steps for steak fries? @fiona985's got a point about the heat difference, but honestly, just flip them once mid-way and call it a day. That extra 30 seconds won't kill you.

Tbh that FryDaddy never got hot enough, air fryers run way more direct heat so the comparison ain't fair.
