Question about frozen chicken wings in the air fryer
I was making some frozen wings for the game last night and they came out kind of soggy, so I looked it up and realized I was supposed to spray them with a little oil first. I'd been just putting them straight from the bag for months. Do you guys always add oil to frozen stuff, or just certain things?

Yeah the oil spray is a game changer for frozen stuff. It helps get that crispy skin instead of steamed texture. I do it for fries, nuggets, even those frozen spring rolls. Some brands have more coating than others though, so cheap fries might need a little extra.

My air fryer basically runs on oil spray at this point. The cheap frozen fries are the real test, they come out sad without it. Almost like you need to give them a pep talk and a heavy coating. My kitchen smells like a fast food joint but at least the texture is right.

My roommate uses avocado oil spray on everything. Honestly it makes the cheap fries taste like the fancy steakhouse kind.
