Serious question, did an air fryer cause that weird smell last Tuesday?
I was roasting garlic potatoes in my air fryer, and the aroma must have drifted for blocks. My neighbor texted the group chat asking if anyone was burning food, but another person thought it was a new bakery opening. We all figured it out when I posted a picture of my dinner, and now three houses on the block want the recipe. It was a funny mix-up that turned into a recipe swap.

Are we sure that air fryer smell was actually a positive event? That kind of strong food odor can be a real nuisance for neighbors trying to enjoy their own space. What if someone had their windows open and didn't want their house smelling like garlic potatoes? It seems like we're calling a disturbance a cute story just because it ended with recipe sharing. Maybe the air fryer is more trouble than it's worth if it fills the block with smells.

Tbh, I caught this article online about air fryer smells becoming a real point of tension in some apartments. It basically said that powerful food odors can totally mess with shared ventilation and annoy neighbors. But the piece also pointed out that most folks just end up having a laugh about it and setting some simple ground rules. Still, if someone's windows are open and they get hit with that heavy garlic smell, I get why they'd be frustrated. It's all about being considerate, but yeah, calling it a cute story might gloss over the hassle for some people.

Ngl Spencer_Davis maybe it was a bit much that one time, but it's not like my air fryer is always causing a stink.
