Showerthought: Air fryer batch cooking feels like a shared hobby now

I keep seeing more folks use air fryers for making big meals ahead of time. Every week, I cook a large batch of sweet potato fries in mine. My buddy makes crispy tofu blocks for his lunches. We swap notes on how long to cook things and what heat to use. It's become a fun thing to test out new recipes together. I made some banana chips the other day, and they came out crispy. This whole trend has added a creative spin to my kitchen routine.

Try brussels sprouts next, they get real crispy. Splitting the batch helps everything cook even.

Yeah, real crispy! I roast mine until they're almost blackened.

Blackened just tastes like regret and smoke alarm practice to me. A little char is good, but once they're that far gone all you taste is bitter. The key is getting them crispy on the outside while they're still kinda tender inside, not turning them into charcoal briquettes. Gotta pull them before they cross over from perfectly roasted to a fire hazard.
