That $30 air fryer basket I bought off Amazon warped after two months
I was pretty proud of myself for finding a cheap silicone basket liner for my air fryer... thought I was being smart about saving money on cleanup. It was supposed to be nonstick and dishwasher safe, but after maybe eight uses it started to bow in the middle. The food would slide to one side and not cook evenly at all. I tried using it for another week but then little black specks started showing up on my fries. Tossed it right in the trash after that. Should have just stuck with the wire rack that came with the unit. Has anyone else had bad luck with those aftermarket liners or did I just pick a really crummy one?

Hold on, I've got a different take. I bought a cheap $10 generic set of three silicone liners and they've been through my air fryer like 50 times without a single issue. No warping, no melting, no black specks. Maybe the problem is you bought a single basket instead of a liner, or the brand you grabbed is just total garbage. I'm still convinced the silicone ones are way better than scrubbing that nasty wire basket every time.

Actually @miles_roberts, that $10 set might be a better bet than some other cheap liners. But those black specks people mention often come from cheap dyes used in lower quality silicone, not the silicone itself. So if yours haven't done that, you probably just found a decent batch.
