The day I burned air fryer salmon so bad my smoke alarm learned a new song
I was trying that viral honey sriracha salmon recipe I saw on TikTok and thought I could just wing the temps. Set it to 400F for 12 minutes without even checking the thickness of the filet. About 8 minutes in I started smelling something weird but figured it was just the glaze caramelizing. Nope. Opened it up and the salmon was black on top and the honey had turned into a sticky burnt mess that fused to the basket. Took me 20 minutes scrubbing with vinegar and baking soda to get the smell out of my kitchen. Has anyone else had a marinade disaster like that or is it just me?

Brian, that title is way too catchy for something I'd come up with at 3am. My "burnt toast" moments usually involve me staring at the fridge like it holds the secrets of the universe while I'm half asleep. Honestly, if my smoke alarm had a TikTok, it would just be a loop of me forgetting toast in the toaster and then crying over the smoke detector's fake drama.
