TIL the first air fryer patent was filed back in 2005, not 2010
Was reading some random kitchen history thread last night and found out Philips filed the original patent 20 years ago. I remember when air fryers hit big around 2016-17, figured they were maybe 5 years old at that point. Now my mom's asking if she should upgrade her 4 quart unit from 2018, and I told her the tech hasn't changed as much as the marketing wants us to think. Anyone else shocked by how long these things have been around? What model are you still running from the early days?
