Tried frozen wings in my air fryer at 400 for 12 minutes, came out dry
Last week I made some frozen buffalo wings from Costco and followed the bag directions to do 400 for 12 minutes. They were super dry and tough, not crispy at all. Anyone have a better temp or time for frozen wings that actually works?

Did you check if they were still frozen in the middle or just ash on the outside? Sounds like you made chicken jerky, not wings.

I cooked mine at 400 for 45 minutes and they came out crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Maybe your oven runs hot or you didn't let them rest long enough after frying. A meat thermometer is your friend here, 165 in the thickest part and you are golden.

Spencer you're totally right about the thermometer thing. Actually reminds me of this time my buddy tried to deep fry a turkey for Thanksgiving and he didn't have a meat thermometer so he just guessed based on color. Ended up with raw meat on the inside and a bird that looked like it came from a coal mine. We still joke about it every year when we fire up the fryer. But yeah 165 is the magic number for chicken, I learned that the hard way too after making some sad dry wings a few years back. Now I check every batch like three times because I'm paranoid about it.
