Neighbors used to care about our pre-flight stories
Back in the day, people on my block would always ask how we fixed planes and kept them flying safe. Now, at cookouts, they just see it as a regular job and don't ask much. I miss those times when sharing a simple repair tale felt like teaching something cool. It made the hard work feel more connected to the world outside the hangar. Guess some things just fade with time.

Used to think trades were just about the work. Evan_lane31 got me seeing the magic is in showing how things come together.

Remember when trades had a bit of magic to them? My cousin fixed radios, and neighbors would bring broken ones just to hear him talk. Now most stuff just gets replaced, not fixed.
