Pro tip: stop using anti-seize on spark plug threads in Lycoming engines
I pulled a cylinder off an O-360 last month and found anti-seize baked onto the threads so bad the plug wouldn't torque right, who else has seen this cause issues down the line?

I've been running anti-seize on Lycoming plugs for over a decade across three different engines and never had that problem, but I think the key is using the right type and being real stingy with it. The copper based stuff can definitely turn into a crusty mess if you glob it on, but a tiny dab of the silver nickel anti-seize is all it takes, just a thin film on the threads, not enough to change your torque reading. I've pulled plugs after 500 hours that looked perfect and torqued right back to spec, so maybe the issue is more about technique than the product itself.
