Seeing my kid's toy plane fall apart made me rethink fastener checks

I was putting together a plastic model plane with my son and noticed how loose the pieces got. It made me realize that even small fasteners on real aircraft need regular attention to stay secure. How often do you guys do visual checks on common fasteners during pre-flights?

Honestly, that toy plane story really hits home. It's crazy how something so simple can remind you of the big stuff. Tbh, I make a point to check fasteners every single pre-flight. Even the little ones can cause big problems if they're loose. I usually give everything a good once-over, paying extra attention to panels and access points. Ngl, it only takes a minute but it gives you so much peace of mind.

Same! I used to rush, but now I take my time too.

Right? Once you make it part of your routine, it just sticks.
