Spent $80 on a cheap borescope and it let me down on a Cessna 172

Bought one of those $80 WiFi borescopes off Amazon to check for hidden corrosion in wing spars on a 172 I was inspecting last week. The picture quality was so bad I couldn't tell if I was looking at dirt or metal pitting, plus the camera kept disconnecting from my phone. Anyone have a recommendation for a decent borescope under $200 that actually works?

Man did you get the same one I did? I swear those $80 WiFi scopes are ALL junk. I bought one last year and the camera lag was so bad I was basically guessing what I was looking at. Then the app crashed right when I thought I found a crack in a cylinder wall. Total waste of money. For under $200 I've heard decent things about the Teslong rigid scope, it hooks straight to your laptop with no WiFi nonsense. I tried a friend's and the picture was actually clear enough to see individual scratches. No disconnecting drama either. Just stay away from anything that relies on a cheap Chinese app to work, that's my rule now.

Yeah, that sucks. Cheap tools always burn you when it matters most.
