Three weeks on a 747 cargo door and the rigging still drives me nuts

Spent last Tuesday adjusting the latch rollers for the fourth time on a 1997 747-400 freighter at MIA. Anyone else think Boeing designed these cargo doors just to mess with us?

Honestly heard some old-timer say the 747 cargo door latches were designed by someone who never had to fix one.

Yeah I totally get that, @the_viola. I mean, looking at how those latches are laid out it's hard not to wonder if someone just threw a design together without ever crawling under one. Idk, those old timers usually know what they're talking about.
