Can we talk about those cheap wireless alarm panels I always swore off?
I was dead set against them until I installed a DSC PowerG at a job in a 100-year-old brick building downtown where running wires was basically impossible, and it has been rock solid for 4 months now, am I missing something or did I just get lucky with this one?

Honestly, "rock solid for 4 months" sounds like you're still in the honeymoon phase. I've seen too many of these things flake out after a year or two with battery issues and signal interference. It's good now, but I wouldn't call it a win until it's been tested through a rough winter and some firmware updates.
