Customer feedback made me stop using zip ties on every wire bundle
I had a commercial client in Austin call me back 3 months after install because a rodent chewed through their alarm wiring that was all bundled too tight with zip ties. They said 'your neat install turned into a $400 service call because you made it too easy for something to gnaw through.' Now I use velcro straps on any interior runs and only use zip ties where it's really needed. Has anyone else changed their methods after a customer pointed out a specific problem?

Nah I gotta disagree on this one. Zip ties are fine if you don't crank them down like a maniac - leave a little slack so the wires can breathe. Velcro straps can come loose over time and then you're dealing with a sagging mess that looks worse than anything.

How long have you actually run with just velcro because I've seen them loosen up enough on PC builds that the cables start sagging after a month or two. Zip ties at least hold their position once you set them even if you gotta cut them off later.
