Grandma talked me out of lithium batteries for residential jobs

She's been wiring alarms since 1987 in Dayton. Said lithium cells swell up in attics during Ohio summers and pop the terminals off. I argued they last longer but she called me out. Now I'm second guessing every commercial system with lithium backups. Anyone else have a veteran installer challenge your gear choices like that?

Watched an old timer bend a 90 with his hands once to prove a point about not needing a bender. Turns out he was right and I looked like an idiot.

My buddy mark had a spare battery swell up so bad it popped his phone case open just sitting in his truck last summer. @jamesf41 that old timer mightve had a point about some things but he didnt warn you about modern battery problems. I always take mine inside now after seeing that happen.
