Surprised how much cleaner new Honeywell panels look vs the old ones
I swapped out a 20 year old Vista 20p last week for a new ProSeries panel and the difference was night and day. The old wiring was a mess with all those extra modules and jumper wires everywhere. The new panel just has everything built in and the wiring looks so much cleaner in the can. Has anyone else noticed this huge jump in how easy these are to install now?

Did you have to do a lot of reterminating on the old zones when you swapped it out? I spent a solid hour just cleaning up the rats nest from the old Vista, all those extra power supplies and the old phone line module were taking up so much space. The ProSeries really does make a difference with the built in communicator and the way they lay out the terminal strips. The screw terminals are way easier to get a solid wire on too, none of those tiny push-in connectors that always felt loose. That onboard relay really cuts down on the extra parts you used to have to jam in the can.

Oh actually the Vista 20p already had a built-in communicator if you got the updated main board.
