Walked a commercial build in Denver, saw 3 panels installed upside down
Stopped by a new retail strip off I-25 yesterday to check out the rough-in work. Three of the five DSC panels were mounted with the keypad ribbon pointing up, which makes no sense for service access. Whoever did it also left the transformer wires dangling loose behind the board, no strain relief at all. It took me maybe 20 minutes to find five code violations just on the main floor. The GC said the low-voltage crew was 'running behind schedule' and that's why it got sloppy. Have any of you seen a whole crew skip the basics like that just to hit a deadline, or is this just a Colorado thing?
