Walked through a new build yesterday and saw something that changed my mind about wireless

I was checking out a townhouse complex that just went up near my shop. The builder used wireless sensors on every door and window, and the whole place was clean with no wires anywhere. I've always been a hardwired guy because I thought wireless was too unreliable. But seeing how fast they installed everything and how neat it looked made me rethink things for certain jobs. Anyone else had good luck with wireless in new construction?

Actually saw a video from a low voltage forum on YouTube last week where a guy tested wireless sensors vs hardwired ones in controlled conditions. The battery life on those newer units is way better than I expected, like 5-7 years on the door sensors. Idk, maybe it's just me but the convenience factor seems worth trying out on the right project. The no wires thing does look clean and I bet it saves a ton of labor time during framing. Still a bit nervous about interference from metal studs or thick walls though, that part worries me.

Did you end up trying the wireless ones @milaw14? I went with them on a remodel last year and the only hiccup was one sensor behind a bathroom with thick tile, but a repeater fixed it no problem.
