Went from 30 mins per panel to 8 mins after switching how I strip wire
I used to strip every single wire on a panel run one at a time with my old Klein strippers and it was killing me. Talking like 30 minutes just to dress a can on a normal 16 zone job. Then a guy I work with in Canton showed me how he does it with a strip gauge and just pre cuts everything to length before he even mounts the can. I tried it on a job in Akron last month and my panel time dropped to around 8 minutes. The wires are cleaner too because you are not fighting the same wire twice. The trick is you measure from where the terminal sits, not from the edge of the can, or your service loops end up short. I have been doing this 6 months now and my rework on panels basically went to zero. Curious if anyone else pre strips the whole bundle first or if you still do it one at a time.
