Wrote off that dual tech motion sensor hack as BS until a job in Tulsa changed my mind
A rep at a supply house in Tulsa kept pushing me to try dual tech motion sensors on a 1960s house with a bad pet problem, and I figured it was just a sales pitch. I put one in the living room and another by the back door, and the false alarms from the homeowner's two cats stopped completely over the next 6 weeks. The microwave side ignores the heat signature and the PIR side ignores the small stuff, so together they only trip when something big and warm actually moves. I'm not saying they fix every setup, but I've put in 11 of them since and haven't had one callback. Anybody here using them in weird spots like attics or garages, and how do they hold up in the heat?
