I finally gave up on those pre-made journal kits and just got a blank notebook and a cheap fountain pen.

Yeah, the "finally stuck" thing is so real. My friend went through like five before she found one she actually wanted to write in. It was some cheap one from a drugstore, of all places.

Oh man, @troysmith, I totally get that! My third notebook was also the charm. Finding the right one makes all the difference.
