Question about learning coptic stitch for my handmade journals
It makes such solid books, but the steps seem really fussy for a first project. Should I push through or try something simpler to start?

Honestly watching those tutorial videos feels like trying to untangle headphones. All those needles and threads crossing is a special kind of fussy. The first time you deal with waxed thread is a guaranteed mess. Push through though, because it really is worth it.

Wow! I heard waxed thread was tricky but a guaranteed mess sounds awful. My friend tried it and said the same thing about it being sticky and tangled. How long does it take to get used to working with it?
