Question about my journaling setup after a chat with my barber
He said 'you write with that fancy pen, but you're using a cheap notebook that bleeds,' and it made me realize I've been ignoring paper quality for years. Anyone have a go-to notebook brand under $20 that handles fountain pen ink well?

Have you tried looking for old school composition books with that thick, cardboard-like paper?

Used to grab whatever was on sale at the office store. Then I found one of those old black and white marbled notebooks at a yard sale. The paper doesn't bleed through at all, even with a fountain pen. It's a totally different writing experience. Makes my usual cheap notebooks feel flimsy.
