Spent 4 hours trying to get a clean glue line on a simple oak box joint

Turns out my shop was too cold and the glue was setting up before I could even clamp it. Anyone else run into this with wood glue in an unheated garage?

Totally feel your pain! I ruined a whole batch of picture frames last winter for the same reason. My hands were freezing and the glue got thick and gummy in like two minutes. Had to bring everything inside to warm up the wood and the bottle.

Yeah @adamp31 gets it, cold glue is the worst. Gotta warm that bottle up in some water first.
