Spent 6 hours trying to fix a warped table leg before I figured out the real problem
I was building a small oak side table and one leg wouldn't sit flat no matter how much I sanded. Took me a whole Saturday, checking my joints, re-measuring everything, the works. Turned out my floor in the garage had a slight slope I never noticed. Has anyone else chased a build problem for way too long only to find the cause was totally outside the project?

A whole Saturday on a floor slope? Man that would've sent me. At least you didn't take a saw to the leg before realizing it - I've seen guys do that and end up with a three legged table. Your garage floor owes you six hours back.

Happened to me with a workbench last year. Spent hours shimming a post before I realized the concrete slab had a dip right where I put the leg. It's humbling but at least you caught it before the table was done.

Gotta disagree with you there. The floor slope IS part of the project if you're building in that space. @ray_miller84 probably learned the same way I did - measure everything, including your foundation, before you start cutting. Six hours of troubleshooting is just tuition for next time.
