The old map shop downtown that finally sold me on paper navigation
I drove past this place called Cartographic Curiosities on 5th street for like 2 years and never went in. Last Saturday I had 20 minutes to kill before a job and figured why not. The owner showed me a 1957 topo map of my own neighborhood and I could see where they filled in a whole creek for a housing development. I was always a GPS-only guy but now I'm thinking about picking up a local map just to see what else got buried.

That’s wild! My buddy found an old atlas with his childhood house still labeled as a farm.
