I spent 5 years loading film into my tank wrong

Was at a friend's house in Portland developing his rolls and he asked why I was holding the reel like that. Turns out I had been pushing the film onto the reel backwards the whole time. He showed me how the little metal ball bearings are supposed to guide it, not fight it. Felt pretty dumb but at least now I dont scratch up half my negatives.

Bruh that's rough. Five years is a long time to be fighting the gear instead of letting it do its job. At least your friend caught it before you went another five though.

Dude for real, I wasted almost three years with a bad crown before I realized it was messing everything up.
