Took me 2 hours to realize my film tank was leaking light through the lid
I was getting these weird foggy streaks on every roll for like a month. Thought it was my developer going bad or maybe I was loading the reel wrong. Turns out the little rubber gasket on my Paterson tank lid was just slightly out of place. After swapping it and running a test roll with no film inside I finally saw the light leak. Has anyone else had a simple fix like this take way longer than it should?

Haha oh man I feel this deeply. The light leak gremlin strikes again. I spent a whole weekend chasing a similar ghost once, turned out I just needed to flip the lid gasket over. The rubber was fine but one side was just slightly more worn than the other. My buddy still makes fun of me for that one. It is always the dumbest little thing that eats up all your time. At least now you know for next time.

The light leak gremlin has cost me more weekends than I'd care to admit. I once spent three hours troubleshooting a developing tank only to realize I'd left the kitchen light on.
